The Junior League of Denver (JLD) has hosted Holiday Mart for 32 years. The event has been an amazing fundraiser for the JLD; and in turn, our Denver metro community. We have reviewed surveys, spoken with many of our vendors, and have decided to take the event in a different direction. We believe the changes in 2012 will revitalize and invigorate our annual Holiday Mart!

The 2012 Holiday Mart will be a high-end, exclusive event with a limited number of merchants. Both our vendors and our shoppers will immediately recognize these changes.

The first major change is the date. The 2012 Holiday Mart will take place October 19th- 21st (Friday through Sunday). We listened to your feedback and eliminated Thursday.

The second change is the location. This year we are thrilled to work with The Inverness Hotel to host our 2012 Holiday Mart. The facility and accommodations are second to none and the geographic location of the property closely aligns with our target market. Additionally, the Inverness Hotel has offered rates to you and your staff at only $99/night.

The Inverness Hotel is significantly smaller than the Denver Merchandise Mart. As a result, we will accept approximately half of the vendors as compared to recent years. We will be choosing our vendors based on the quality of their products. We welcome vendors with a unique offering that, for the most part, our shoppers cannot find in their local malls or “as seen on TV.” The jury process will be more rigorous this year to ensure the limited booth space lends itself to a
shopping experience that is both exclusive and exciting. Our goal is more shoppers and fewer booths, and hope that the result will be more sales for you.

The JLD will greatly increase marketing efforts this year so our ticket sales remain strong. And as always, we will host exciting special events to bring shoppers to the Holiday Mart. A buzz is growing in Denver about these improvements, and we want you to be part of the excitement.

Because there will be a limited number of 8’ x 8’ booths available, we anticipate the spaces will fill fast. We will hold an April jury session and a June jury session to select our Holiday Mart vendors. As a result, we will begin marketing our vendors via a variety of channels much earlier than ever before.

The 2012 Holiday Mart Steering Committee is thrilled to be leading these improvements. We realize uncertainty exists with all change, but are confident that with careful planning, organization, and you, our wonderful vendors, that the 2012 Holiday Mart will be a highly successful fundraiser for the JLD, and a revenue-generating experience you look forward to year after year.
